Ever Had Green Cake?

Whatever your traditions this time of year, wishing you a gentle holiday season surrounded by what brings you joy.

One thing that brings me joy is making this very green cake with my family (and not just because we’re strolling around with green teeth for hours).

Each of us brings something to the kitchen — mom preps and bakes, sister and I decorate, dad pops in to “taste test, just to be sure it’s edible.” Over the years, we’ve learned there can never be too many cooks in the kitchen. It’s collaboration that makes the cake.

We’ve been busy in the Be The Ones kitchen testing and perfecting our own recipes.

One thing we’ve nailed — inviting more and more cooks into the kitchen.

As we look to 2024, we’ll continue to prioritize adding more cooks and opening the doors to folks in a system that has left them disengaged, disenfranchised, and disinterested. But, we need your help.
